Are there Jews in The Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Alaska.

So it all started three weeks ago when I was filling up gas in Liberty NY. A women next to me was filling up and she had Alaska plates, so I started up some friendly excited conversation. Thats when I decided I would drive to Alaska. I had always wanted to do it, and now I am done with school and have no future commitments so why not.

As it became more certain that I would go I started doing more research on costs and trying to fins any unemployed friends of mine who would tag along. It wasn’t hard, I found my buddy Danny in Detroit willing to forgo a semester of school to travel to the land of the midnight sun. I baited him with the chance of seeing Northern Lights and of driving to the Arctic Ocean via the Dalton Highway up to Prudhoe Bay.

I started reading about Alaska and getting prepared. Guns are a must for any back country excursions, so were bringing two. 0 degree bags for the cold nights of september. A spare full size wheel, extra fuel, and guts most of all, are all necessities. We are leaving in one week. I even found another passenger, and get to visit my brother in Colorado on the way.

Why am I telling you this??? First of all, vacation means no internet access for a long time perhaps a month, no cell phones B”H, no frum Jews- which lies my problem. Though I will be in Vancouver and Seattle for Rosh Hashannah. I am trying to find people other then Chabbad who live in Alaska, the Yukon or Northwest territories. Are there frum Jews in these places? You never know. I stayed with a frum guy who is the lone orthodox Jew in Bozeman, Montana. BUT the North is way dif
